Boardwalk
This pleasant, bricked walkway offers a privileged, panoramic view. The area is watched over by the emblematic sculptures of Triton and Neptune and is invaded by the rich aromas of the neighboring restaurants.
Pedestrian Area
This colorful and relaxing business strip offers embroidered clothing, papier maché figures, necklaces, bracelets and many more curiosities.
Navidad Bay Beach
The water's surge makes this an excellent place for surfing as well as watching surfers' performances.
Barra de Navidad Lagoon
Located between the Mexican states of Jalisco and Colima, the placid waters of the lagoon permit boat journeys and relaxing fishing experiences.
Tule Lagoon
Separated from the Pacific by a narrow strip of land, its sweet waters provide an opportunity to fish for a variety of species like snook and striped mullet, among others.
Traveling by boat is a great way to explore the many treasures that Barra de Navidad and its surrounding areas (La Laguna, Melaque, Cuastecomates, El Tamarindo, etc.) have to offer. Boats can be rented from the pier where visitors can also take fun rides on banana boats.
Organized by the Barra de Navidad Fishing Club A.C., these two important tournaments draw both expert and amateur fishermen, whose love of fishing brings them armed with rod and reel.
International Sport Fishing Tournament
With three decades of successful fishing, this tournament plays host to some 150 fishermen from all over the world every year. The team competition, which offers prestigious prizes, specializes in sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi and tuna. (Third week of January).
National Father-Son Tournament
This young-people's tournament aims to pass down the tradition of sport fishing to new generations. Every year, the very best catches of sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi and black skipjack are rewarded with trophies and sports equipment. (Month of August).
