Plaza de San Martín de Bolaños
In the eighteenth century, the mining industry in this area was made up of mines such as La Perla, La Castellana and Barranco, among others. The boom of yesteryear has not continued into the present, but it has made other types of exploration and discovery possible.
Señor de Santa Rosa Temple
With a Neoclassical style, its building dates from the nineteenth century and still has an image of Christ that was brought from Barcelona to the Colony.
Archeology Museum
This museum exhibits regional pre-Hispanic objects excavated from El Piñon, a tumba de tiro (shaft tomb unique to western Mexico). These objects include earthenware pots, necklaces, axes, metates (stone grinding surfaces), etc.
Piñón Tomb
Situated high up on Piñon Hill, this one-of-a-kind tumba de tiro was utilized as a family crypt.
Chapels
Located in Pochotitán, El Carrizal and Mamatla, these historical clay and stone chapels are interesting to explore.
El Pilón Mine
Rich in silver deposits, this mine is still active.
La Guásima Creek
In the rainy season, this area is an great spot for various recreational activities.
Púlpito Hill
An excellent scenic lookout for appreciating the view of the majestic mountain.
Festivals
The Patron Saint Festival (August 21 - 30) and the Festival of the Virgin of Guadalupe (December 4 - 12) are both deeply religious occasions.
