Sierra del Pino
In regards to land area, Ocampo is the largest municipality in Coahuila occupying 17.44% of the total state. In 1890, it broke away from Cuatro Ciénegas to form its own town. It is a place with many interesting faces and where its inhabitants, dedicated to raising livestock in its pastures, lead and silver mining and agriculture, can boast of having a great diversity of attractions.
To the north, La Mota, San José de las Piedras, the Sierra del Pino, Maderas del Carmen Protected Area and Boquillas del Carmen allow us to enjoy ourselves, to admire cave paintings, fossils, and a rich biodiversity made up of forests and dunes and to hunt animals such as deer, bear and wild boar. If this is not enough, we are invited to the large festival in honor of Santa Catalina de Siena on April 30th.
